Covid-infected health workers called in to hospitals after thousands sacked for refusing jab
Vaccine mandates cause medical strain: bosses want infected nurses to work, foreign replacements flown in. Unions silent, healthcare workers muzzled
Australia is unmasking itself.
The “for your safety” smile is now barely hiding a frightening systemic viciousness.
The most populous state of New South Wales is suffering a healthcare crisis less than two months after thousands of workers were forced to leave their jobs for refusing the covid vaccine. Surprise!
This partly self-inflicted stress is also unravelling the eastern states of Queensland and Victoria.
In addition to vax sackings, covid Omicron has sent staff into isolation, straining the health system.
Instead of reversing the public health orders to welcome back thousands of unvaccinated staff, New South Wales hospitals are calling for covid-infected nurses to work, The Guardian reports.
New South Wales hospitals also want to replace the unvaccinated staff by flying in foreign workers.
The nurses’ union might have have called for their members’ jobs back. Instead the NSW Nurses and Midwives’ Association has nothing to say on the matter.
Neither does NSW Health or state Health Minister Brad Hazzard, who did not respond to media requests.
Instead, NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet gushed over the “amazing job” done by the remaining stressed out doctors, nurses, paramedics, cleaners and 000 call operators.
“Our health system remains strong because of the efforts and the tireless work of our health staff right across NSW,” he said at a press conference to announce new restrictions on Friday, January 7.
The situation is absurd.
Healthcare workers across Australia have natural immunity from prior infection which multiple studies (here, here and here) have shown is longer lasting and more robust than the vaccine.
This is one reason workers refused the medical product.
Alexandra, 60, a nurse from North Strathfield in Sydney, took early retirement instead of the forced medication.
“I did not consent,” she said, asking to remain anonymous.
Forty years of valuable experience left with her.
Speaking at a protest against forced vaccination in December, she said the quality of training had declined.
“The (covid) injections - they’re giving them wrong,” she said.
“You’re supposed to aspirate the needle. You must aspirate to prevent accidental vein strike.”
To aspirate, the injector draws back slightly on the plunger to check for blood before pushing it in. If you see blood, you know you’ve hit a vessel and must move the needle.
This safety measure was once taught to nurses worldwide for intra-muscular injections such as the covid vaccine, but has since fallen away - leading to calls for a revision.
Alexandra is exactly the kind of engaged and experienced front-line nurse New South Wales should be welcoming back, but isn’t.
NSW Health Secretary Elizabeth Koff, who manages the $30 billion health system, stood beside Dominic Perrottet at Friday’s media talk.
She said the staff shortage was so dire she would put on her uniform and get to work herself if she had to.
It was a curious thing to say: while Ms Koff has a bachelor of science, diploma of nutrition, and masters in public health, her stellar career has mostly spanned planning, management and executive board positions.
Bringing back sacked frontline staff might be more useful - like senior paramedic John Larter who had 25 years’ experience when he was suspended last September by the Paramedicine Council of NSW, for challenging the mandate in court.
Mr Larter lost his case and, like many others, his job.
The state is now struggling to meet emergency 000 calls.
In dismissing Mr Larter’s case, NSW Supreme Court Judge Christine Adamson said the public health orders were “to remove the increased risk of transmission posed by unvaccinated NSW Health workers”.
“It would be of no comfort to the vulnerable patient who is infected by the unvaccinated health care worker to be told that he or she was unlucky by being in the wrong ward at the wrong time,” Justice Adamson wrote in her November 10 consideration.
One wonders whether Justice Adamson would still think the mandate reduces transmission risk today, given covid-infected nurses now work in hospitals.
Vaccinated virus-spreading grows with each new variant
The strains circulating in Australia now are Delta and the relatively mild Omicron.
A January 5 study published in the New England Journal of Medicine found after 10 weeks, a double dose of Pfizer reduced transmission of Delta by only 24 percent.
Two shots of AstraZeneca reduced the spread by just 2 percent after 12 weeks.
A third booster lasts 10 weeks against symptomatic infection, according to separate research.
These mRNA products are nothing like previous vaccines that effectively rid us of scourges like diptheria or polio.
Pfizer swiftly pushed more booster product for Omicron. Convicted of criminal fraud and fined US$2.3 billion in 2009, the company expects to make US$65 billion from selling covid vaccines in 2021 and 2022.
But the vaccine is even less effective at stopping Omicron than Delta.
A total of 224,873 new covid cases were found in New South Wales in the week to January 11, among a population of eight million people.
Yet NSW Health reported 93.7 percent of residents aged over 16 and 78.1 percent of children aged 12 to 15 were fully vaccinated as of Monday.
Clearly the vaccinated are spreading covid. It is not possible for anyone to believably argue that the jabs on offer in Australia protect others by stopping - or even substantially reducing - the spread of the virus.
But this failed logic is the rationale behind the public health orders now banning unvaccinated people from work.
“Protect others” was the foundation of this public health order. It’s obviously no longer true, but the policy remains the official position in NSW. Last month the mandate was extended with a booster added.
The health orders were made by NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard on the advice of the state’s Chief Health Officer Kerry Chant, who also gave evidence before Justice Adamson during John Larter’s legal bid.
The orders have been revised to shorten covid isolation time for health staff, but there is no sign of repealing the mandate to let the sacked workers back.
Similar medical authoritarianism is infecting countries everywhere.
Geoff Shullenberger wrote in Unherd that US vaccine mandates have been weaponised by the Biden Administration to punish political enemies of the unelected technocracy.
There, as here, vaccine sackings of health workers have led to staffing shortages.
Here, as there, bipartisan bureaucrats are punishing political enemies, which is to say anyone who refused a vaccine.
In the UK medical staff are also being threatened with forced covid jabs.
Health Secretary Sajid Javid took a hospital tour to pretend he was listening - but it all went off script when NHS anaesthetist Stephen James challenged him.
“The science isn’t strong enough,” Dr James said, before politely asking Javid to reconsider the mandates in the light of Omicron.
“If you want to provide protection with a booster, you’d have to inject everybody every month … it’s not going to achieve a practical benefit.”
It’s wonderful that a British medic could speak freely, because in Australia he would have been sacked - if he ever got near the camera in the first place.
Health professionals here are not allowed to say anything against the vaccines or they get disciplinary action and de-registration.
The Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency and the Medical Board of Australia issued a joint directive in March last year threatening punishment for any health worker who voiced concerns about the vaccine including on social media.
“There is no place for anti-vaccination messages in professional health practice, and any promotion of anti-vaccination claims including on social media, and advertising may be subject to regulatory action,” spokesman Brett Simmonds said in the statement.
The unvaccinated are excluded and sacked - not for health reasons, but for disobeying the government and its Hospital Hitlers.
You cannot vote them out. It’s bipartisan. The shadow government of unelected bureaucracy no longer offers the illusion of choice.
Australia pretended the vaccines were not forced by creating outcasts then handing social enforcement to the mob, who dehumanise unvaccinated people as dirty #plaguerats.
The consent of the governed has been crushed in a giant, vicious Milgram experiment.
Australia’s bureaucrats decided on covid vaccinations for everyone then rammed it through regardless of individual need as if citizens have no right to a say in their own lives. And so far they don’t - court challenges have failed.
Frighteningly, this is all “for your safety”.
Update: March 9 - replaced deleted tweet showing bigotry against unvaccinated people on Twitter. This time a screenshot (above) which cannot disappear. The hatred and vitriol jetted at unvaccinated people continues, without any basis in science or public health.

Another great article highlighting the hypocrisy and anti-scientific nature of the mandates.
